Glenn is a friendly, caring, and well-rounded Doctor with a very diverse background in work and life experience. In addition to being a GP, Glenn also spends part of his week working as an Orthopaedic Surgical Assistant. Glenn completed his Butchering trade qualifications straight out of school and continued working and managing Butcher shops for many years. The life lessons learnt as a tradesman set him up with the work ethic, determination, and perseverance to complete the next stages of his education.
He was also very active in Martial Arts, sparking his interest in the healing side of the arts, in particular Acupuncture. This is where his medical journey commenced, and he completed a BHSc (Acupuncture) and treated patients in Brisbane and abroad in London. Returning to Brisbane, Glenn furthered his experience in the medical field, taking a role as an Orthopaedic Product Specialist.
The experiences he gained helping people with their health as an Acupuncturist, coupled with his exposure in the hospital and surgical environment, confirmed Glenn’s desire to further his studies and become a doctor.
Glenn completed a Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery at the University of Queensland, St Lucia, and was further awarded a Fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. Glenn has worked as an RMO at the Royal Brisbane Women’s Hospital and spent the last five years working in a variety of medical roles in Tasmania.
Glenn is a dedicated and loving husband and father, and in his spare time enjoys competitive tennis, boxing with his daughter, Go Karting with his son and mountain biking, running, swimming, and playing guitar.
