One Health operates as an integrated medical practice
General Practice and Alternative Natural Therapies are delivered within the same clinic network, by registered Australian doctors, with coordinated care across both services. That means your prescribing doctor can see your broader health picture, and your GP can stay informed about your full treatment plan.

Common questions and answers
Is alternative natural therapy legal in Australia?
Yes. Alternative natural therapies are prescribed in Australia under current medical regulations.
All consultations at One Health are conducted by Australian-registered medical practitioners. Treatment suitability is assessed during your consultation in line with relevant clinical guidelines and regulatory requirements.
We do not provide automatic prescriptions. All treatment decisions are made by your doctor following a comprehensive assessment.
Do I need a referral to book a consultation?
No referral is required for a telehealth or in-clinic consultation.
You can call our team on 1300 689 133 to arrange your initial telehealth appointment, or enquire about in-clinic availability at selected One Health locations.
What happens during the $29 Alternative Natural Therapies initial telehealth consultation?
Your $29 initial Alternative Natural Therapies telehealth consultation includes:
- A review of your medical history
- Discussion of your current symptoms and concerns
- Assessment of suitability
- Guidance on next steps
If treatment is considered appropriate, your doctor will outline a personalised plan and any recommended follow-up.
There is no obligation to proceed with treatment following your consultation.
Can I book a telehealth appointment with a GP?
Yes. Telephone and video consultations are available at all One Health clinics. Let the reception team know your preference when booking.
To be eligible for a Medicare rebate on a telehealth consultation, you must have attended the clinic in person within the past 12 months. New patients are not eligible for a Medicare rebate on telehealth appointments.
How do telehealth appointments work?
Telehealth appointments are conducted by phone or video call.
You will receive a link to connect to the telehealth call.
At your scheduled time, your doctor will contact you to discuss your health history, concerns, and eligibility. You can attend from the comfort of your home, anywhere in Australia.
Follow-up appointments can also be arranged via telehealth where clinically appropriate.
Do your clinics offer Medicare bulk billing?
Billing varies by clinic. One Health Medical Clinics, Cairns, is a bulk billing practice — standard GP consultations are billed directly to Medicare for patients with a valid Medicare card. Some complex appointments or services may attract a small out-of-pocket fee.
Our Brisbane and Maroochydore clinics operate under a private billing structure, with Medicare rebates available for all eligible consultations. Children under 5 are bulk billed at no cost, and reduced fees are available for children aged 5–15 and concession or pension card holders at selected locations.
Contact or view your preferred clinic for specific pricing.
How do I transfer my medical records to One Health?
Let our reception team know at your preferred clinic, and they will provide a form with your previous clinic details. We’ll contact your former practice and arrange the transfer.
If you were previously a patient at Next Practice West End or Albion, no transfer is necessary — your records are already with us.
