Biography

Dr Khakima Ikramova moved to Australia from Canada. She acquired a degree of Doctor of Medicine (MD) and has worked in rural Queensland. She received her fellowship of The Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) in 2018.

As General Practitioner with more than 10 years of clinical experience in Australia, providing comprehensive, patient-centred care across all stages of life. Committed to evidence-based medicine with a strong focus on prevention, chronic disease management, and long-term health outcomes.

Special interests include:

  • Preventative and lifestyle medicine
  • Chronic disease management
  • Women’s health, including antenatal shared care
  • Travel medicine and vaccinations
  • Cardiovascular risk reduction, obesity, and diabetes management
  • Skin cancer screening and minor skin procedures
  • DVA and WorkCover assessments and management

Apart from being a doctor, Khakima is a devoted mother of 2 young children who keeps her busy in her spare time. She is bilingual and fluent in Russian in addition to English.
