Biography

Dr Sue May obtained her medical degree in the United Kingdom from the University of Liverpool in 2010 and completed her GP training in Cambridge, UK.

She has been working in Brisbane since 2012 and obtained her fellowship from the Royal College of General Practitioners in the UK in 2018. Dr Sue May has a special interest in preventative health, women’s health, antenatal care, sports medicine, chronic disease management, general dermatology and diving medicine. She is committed to promoting lifestyle changes, wellbeing and exercise. She is a registered Focused Psychological Strategies Provider which enables her to help her patients with Cognitive Behavioural strategies in mental health issues. She also works as a Senior Medical Officer in the Royal Brisbane & Women’s Hospital and holds a Diploma in Diving & Underwater Medicine.

In her spare time, she likes to keep active and enjoys endurance sports in running, cycling and swimming. She has completed several marathons and triathlons including Ironman. She also enjoys hiking and free/scuba diving.
