Medicinal Cannabis

Our practitioners are qualified to assess suitability and prescribe medicinal cannabis where clinically appropriate.

At One Health Clinics, some of our doctors are authorised prescribers who can assess and support patients seeking medicinal cannabis treatment. These doctors meet the standards set by the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA), ensuring that all prescriptions are provided safely, appropriately, and in line with current medical guidelines.

To become an authorised prescriber, a medical practitioner must have the appropriate training and expertise, be best placed to assess the patient’s needs, and be able to monitor and review treatment outcomes. To learn more, visit the Australia Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) (TGA) website

If you are booked for an assessment with one of our doctors, please bring a current health summary from your usual GP, a referral or letter outlining your diagnosed condition, details of previous treatments that have not been effective or caused side effects, and a current list of medications. The TGA requires that there is some clinical or preclinical evidence supporting the potential benefit of medicinal cannabis or CBD oil for your condition. Providing this information helps our doctors make a thorough and informed assessment.
